Here is my latest drawing, the NDL liner S.S. Spree of 1890.
I have tried to copy and paste it onto a template but I cannot figure out which one would work. It seems to be too tall to fit onto the right template length-wise but other templates seem either too long or are still too short. If anyone has advice on this it would be greatly appreciated but, for now, I'll just post the drawing of my ship on a plain white background. Of course any constructive criticism about the drawing itself would also be helpful as this is only my second real design.

Thanks! Do you have any idea what template I should use?

Here is a new update with some more detail on the hull plating.

A fine effort, a nice ship and generally good work.
Template size is determined by the ship's size, leaving enough white space to the right side. If your ship is too tall, you can increase the template size to 485 instead of the standard 385 pixels.
I've taken the liberty of putting your ship in a template (the standard small size fits quite well).

I also changed the white colour slightly, and the shades on the funnels, as it is customary to show ships as if the light is coming from the front, and so all your vents and masts need to be re-coloured in the same fashion (if you so want it to be)
I also added the German flag.
As a side note, the small lighthouses like structures on the forecastle are for navigation lights, and since we see the starboard side it should show a green light.

Thank you Novice! That's very helpful. I was wondering what those posts were on the forecastle and I couldn't see the color as my reference was in black and white. I'll change the shading on the vents and the masts and then post the new version. Again, thank you for all your help, you always write very informative and constructive comments that never fail to improve peoples' drawings.

Just keep at it, as you're doing fine. I'll refer you to this drawing, for the house flag of the company.
I also like to apologize for a spelling mistake in the company's name, which should be with two d's and not one.

Thank you for your help. I'll add the house flag and fix the spelling (I didn't even notice until you pointed it out.)
