If I remember correctly, the flying boats were catapulted while still at sea to get the mail delivered earlier, and the mail was specially franked to show this. I should also think that a lot of pilots from the fledgling armed forces were flying in 'mufti' (like all those Aerloflot pilots on the big Tupolev's coming down to the USA over the Artic  ). Anyway, need I say it - another excellent drawing - but please cut down on the Benzedrene
