Here is a United States Monitor, the USS Monterey (BM-6) as she looked prior to the Spanish-American War (ca. 1895)
And as she appeared during and after the War.
Monterey sailed across the Pacific from California to Manilla. Iron men and ships.

For the drawings itselfes I think they are very good, but which refs. are you using? To my knowledge are the superstructure and the guns on the 1895 version same white as the hull. The white on the hull should also go twice in the dept than you have done it

I used to have a framed print of the profile blueprint of
this ship. She was built in San Francisco by Cramp & Sons.
I believe this was the last class of coast defence monitors
built for the USN.

No, the print I had was a duplicate of a real blueprint -
white on a dark blue background. By the way, I was wrong
about the builder, it was the Union Iron Works.
