Allrigth, starting here with single thread for my forthcoming remake projects for this year, the Soviet missile cruisers (RKRs) as well as their siblings Large ASW ships (BPKs). I start of with Pr.58 class since their former incarations are one of the oldest in the bucket, and I hope to procede with Pr.1134 and its ASW variants trough the Pr.1164 Atlant as reviwal of the concept and ultimately feast with the Pr.1144s. But the beging: First, Admiral Golovko whom I chosed as "lead ship" for the class for SB, since the references were superior compared to her classmates. Groznyy here herself as actuall leadship of the class and with the biggest variations among the class (namely the enigmatic Vzryv ECM suite that I'vent sofar spotted elsewhere and with the Uspekh-U Missile controll radars. And here is Golovko again showing the refits that all the class members recieved in the 1980s with AK-630/MR-123 Vympel CIWS suite. |

Just brilliant I also noticed the altered pennant number on Golovko. Do you have any info's why the Soviet Navy so often changed the pennant numbers or was it only to distract NATO? |

It was for dissinformation, and the pennant code in soviet practice was never that tied to the vessel's identity as it was in western practice, but purely tactical number. Admiral Golokov for example was during her career: 810, 852, 857, 019, 845, 847, 121, 118, 844, 110, 105, 118, 849, 853, 854, 859, 130, 170, 485 |

As I recall, there were reload hangars (for lack of a better word) for both the forward and after box-turret launchers.
