Wonderful! Though I'm a little dubious about the running lines under the yards, unless they were steel, usually they have a more pronounced sag. I was eyeing this one off but I'm glad you did her justice!

Nice looking drawing indeed. The choice of shade for the above water shading at the bow looks a bit odd to me, in my eyes I keep seeing it as an area you forgot to colour in!

From this picture, there is a running line under the yards.

Great work, darthpanda. You're producing some real gems for the real life folder.

It's a very nice drawing indeed. There aren't many drawings we get of ships of the late 19th century.

I've a little problem with the shading on the bow though. I can think of no lighting scenario that would cause that effect. It appears that the light source is broad on the beam for the lower hull but forward of the beam for the upper hull. If the lower hull (Red) is darker at the bow, so should the upper hull.

Wonderful! Now, finally we've got the "insects" of Queen Victoria's navy represented! I, myself been considering the Imperieuse-class and the early protected cruisers!

I do agree with the shading issue though. The ratlines seems to be fine. I know many steam sloops, corvettes and even frigates changed over to steel ratlines to improve the safety of the Jack Tar, so, them being taught might not be unreasonable. But I need to consult with my reference works for clarity though.
