I PM'd Novice about updating his drawings and these are the result.

This is with the original color scheme.

Updated turrets.

And how they appeared in the 1980's after the DDH conversion.

Special thanks to BCRenown, his drawing inspired me to update these.

Thanks, I can update.

I wondered about adding the Limbo mortar rounds, I think it adds to the drawing and illustrates the armament better.

Bottom hull color is still wrong: too dark and way too purple. Please refer to my rendition of the Halifax-class FFH:s for the correct shade (obtained by direct observation, as a matter of fact...)

That color seems too bright for me, but I'll take your word for it. Is it possible that the color is specific to the Halifax in later years?

bezo, may I note that direct observation can give a 100 different colours due to the light circumstances? his may be just as correct as yours as long as you haven't observed the official description of the colour on the ship........ hardly a matter to press this hard on, is it?

I can see your point, ace, and I agree. However, I'd settle for a brighter shade and more blue. And, yes, I've never gotten the official color code that the Canadian Navy is using. But, yes, your point of lighting and viewpoint is absolutely valid, and if Sailor82 was in the least slighted by my comment, then I own up and apologize. So, maybe a middle-of-the-road compromise then? How about that?

Then you also have to remember computer screens can show color different, it also depend how good the screen is to show black. That why I almost always wait to I get home before coloring my drawing, the color difference from my laptop to my computer with it's screen is big.

so it might be that on his computer screen it look more blue than ...

No worries bezo ...

It's hard to get the color scheme down for the RCN and I'm not entirely satisfied with my result. BCRenown's drawing of the Annapolis provided some color's that I tried to blend with with Rowdy36's drawing of HMAS Westralia. I'm working on refining it more.

Well, if you get a satisfactory result, then I might re-color the City-class and the Tribals (although I have a crappy monitor-screen at home, which doesn'r encourage me to do it, as a matter of fact! - don't worry, I'm posting this from work, where I've got a state-of-the-art monitor!)
