This is about Sea Fighter. A ship built for the US Navy's Office of Naval Research in order to test equipment and operational concepts for the LCS family of ships and later the JHSV.

1.) Sea Fighter as she was launched in February 2005. The drawing is based on a PDF datasheet by BMT Nigel Gee Ltd. - the ships designer. It should be reasonably accurate.

2.) In the second half of 2005 Sea Fighter received a new mast arrangement, and her aft section was painted black.

3.) The ship was heavily reconstructed some when around 2010. Sea Fighter received an enclosed stern. The helicopter deck received a solid bulwark with windscreens. Her bows were also modified. The gas turbine exhausts were trunked into two short funnels and the mast was replaced by an enlarged, partially enclosed design.

4.) Some more works on Sea Figher where carried out in the beginning of 2012. Most of the alterations did not affect her appearance, this time. But, she received a fresh coat of paint and the mast was fully enclosed.

These are my first drawings for Shipbucket. Any comments, hints and suggestions are most welcome.

- The text "FSF1" you have under the bridge should be the same as the text "FSF1" you have aft
- Her under water hull should be red with a wide black line at the water line, end the water jet should also be painted red: see the Coast guard version bellow.
- the Widows on those two deck bridge thingy should not have rounded corners.
- When going over from grey hull color to grey superstructure you are doing it very well, but the black line that separate the hull from superstructure should be dark grey. Black lines is used to tell that this corner is 90 degrees, But a wall that is less than 90 degrees will have the other part of the wall visible.
- there will probably come comments from other people, but for now: Very good work!

A never were, or...:

Wow.

Welcome aboard.

Wow.

That's a great first post.

Edit: two points:

You've left off the www.shipbucket.com watermark in the corner, and the helos should be hovering (no hanger), but these are minor points.

It is typical Shipbucket policy that first drawings are reserved for the Beginner's Forum.

But, uhhh...I think it's plainly evident that an exception is deserved here :)

Sorry to correct you Heuhen, but if you show the water line (isn't a must) you do it with a one pixel black line ;)
