Anaga Class is a series of ten Spanish Navy patrol designed for coastal surveillance and rescue fishing. The ships were built by the Empresa Nacional Bazan (now "Navantia" ") in San Fernando (Cádiz). Were launched between 1980 and 1982.'re Being decommissioned leaving only four active.

very nice, very interesting ships. only wondering about the gun mount: seein the size of the doors, it seems like the crew fits between the mounting and the barrel, so how load and control the gun :P

heuhens pics illustrates what I am wondering about: if you want to get an projectile in that gun barrel, has the crew to reach over their head? and aiming it, looking at the side of the barrel? the thing seems too high for humans to crew it and too skinny to be automatic....

The forward gun.

I think they just flip the gun at an angle when they load the gun. If they doesn't have a similar loading system as an 40 mm, just from the side!

These vessels were used to save costs for arming old cannons of 76 mm Mk.22 dismantled ship U.S. origin dropped for the Spanish Navy, load completely manual.
