Another IJN design from me, river gunboat Fushimi: If she seems a bit underdetailed, it is because of 2 reasons: 1. The Japanese like to make all their early riverboats boring and underdetailed . 2. Decent photos are hard to find. If you have anything what it looks like in that middle section behind the boat, please send it to me. |

Maybe becouse they build a ship, not a toy.

If you look at pics of other Yangtzee River patrol vessels from other navies they were all pretty boring and uninspired. It's one of those cases where form-follows-function. They don't need to be pretty, they need to be functional. |
