While waiting for Navybrat85's permission or denial of starting my PC-1 project, I will start with the more difficult project, the USS Edenton ATS-1, a Edenton class salvage tug. I haven't done any work on her yet, other than naming the template and doing some outlines. I think I can show you the main hull within a few days, but I guess the superstructure will take time - yes , I said that before about the Pigeon and the Safeguard, and than it just took a few days. But this time it will really be hard. So, if anyone has some detail pictures, don't be shy. Just let me know. |

Most of the good pics I've seen of her are after she was transferred to the USCG and renamed USCGC Alex Haley, and of course she underwent extensive modification then. I'll look around, but I'm not sure how much luck you're going to have finding good pics. EDIT: Navsource has some okay pics of Edentons sister ships the Brunswick and Beaufort. They may help a little. Here are the links: http://www.navsource.org/archives/09/31/3102.htm http://www.navsource.org/archives/09/31/3103.htm |

You take it to the point.

Those already build my database for this project. But thanks for the effort.

To show you that I'm working on it The main hull is almost finished, lacking the anchors and some miner details. The superstructure will take some days. Some weeks in the worst case. But I'm getting a feeling for it. Despite the fact, that there seems to have been an upgade on the aft crane. The old one must have been replaced by a hydraulic one some time in the early 90s. Not sure yet which version I will draw. |

if I may ask this of you: draw both versions that is an relatively small effort and it is good to have both represented |

This looks like a good start, on a ship type rarely drawn here. I look forward to see it completed, as well as hoping for complete hull versions, of this ship, and others you have so far completed. |

This chap is just 'getting on with it': producing excellent real life drawings that are a credit to the archive. |

That makes me blush.I think I will finish the main hull today and start with the bridge section, the A-frame and the forward crane. The aft crane will be done last in both versions. |

Funny, isn't it. I tell you that I will do part A of a ship, but then I'm doing part B. Haven't finished the main hull yet, anchor and details are still missing. But the superstructure is growing. |
