To be experienced can sometimes get you out on an unforeseen trip For several month ago I started to draw the Dido CL PNS Babur. As base I was generously allowed by Portsmouth Bill to use his HMNZS Royalist which also was from the Bellona subclass. I figured then it would be a "piece of cake" task. Yesterday I abandoned the original project. Though the same class there were to many differences including hull, superstructure, funnels, mast and a bunch of details I decided to start all over from scratch and draw HMS Diadem first and later I will then draw PNS Babur. Only the underwater hull (drawn by Novice) is kept. Above the waterline - except for parts - all are or will be drawn from scrath. Right now I'm finish with the hull and I'm beginning to get the superstructure in right shape The reason I upload her now is a minor hope that some of you have good pictures or blue prints or technical infos (antennas and radars) of HMS Diadem. I only have four good ones from starboard myself, but some details are hidden for my eyes. Edit: I've updated the drawing after I've completed the front. |

I've been busy with something so inferiour looking for a new car But I'd time for adding some armor and draw a couple of lines. Not much but enough for a updating of the first post |

Thank you all for your encouragement. The process is slowly but steady (though good pictures still some "blind angles") but I think I'm 75% complete now (the front IS complete!). The first post is therefore updated |

Well, after month struggling to find out to draw her right I'm finally completed her as she was in 1947 (in fact early 1945 to 1956). So here she is Now I've got the base for doing her in original configuration (and maybe HMS Black Prince in camo too) and as PNS Babur as original planned Hope you all enjoy the result |
