Good god!!! These two vessels were so obscure, I thought nobody had heard of them. Read once that they were named after lord Mountbatten daughters? |

Pamela was named for Lord Mountbatten's daughter. Una was named for General Slim's!
Read once that they were named after lord Mountbatten daughters? |

If these are the boats built in Burma, they are mentioned quite a few times in The Unforgettable Army (by Michael Hickey), an account of Slim's XIVth Army in Burma during the war. Excellent reading. |
