HNoMS Oslo

This is the version that was up to upload but never got uploaded.... even when it was on the list!!



But here is the redo version, and I hope this one get uploaded and that "RAR"-file i send for almost a 3/4 month ago with the clean version of the Norwegian list get uploaded!!

This is HNoMS Oslo, as hove she looked like at that day she ran aground and sank.



edit: Oslo class use the same hull as Dealey class but the hull has been built higher to withstand the North Sea!
The radar is my version of Siemens Plessey AWS-9(2D) surveillance and target-indication radar.

Am I right, the two differ in length? Also, I can't see what the logic is in the weird hull shading? That apart, very nice

Every ship in Oslo class (Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Narvik) is 96,6m that's 294,44 ft and not 316 ft as Wikipedia says! and in pixels that is: 588,9px and not 634 px that is 45px in differences. and you can also note that this vessel use the same hull as Dealey class just the forward hull was customized to suit Norwegian sea conditions better (higher freeboard)
That the hull shading I haw always been doing!

thanks. I decided to do her when i just for fun checked her length on Wikipedia, and found out that every ships in there have been transformed from meters to feet wrong. the i checked the drawing and just... "LOL".

It's a bit confusing, because 96,6m = 316.9 feet, considering we're using the international foot that's equal to 30.48cm

Right. Re the length, that's fine, but have you got the hull accurate? Are you using reference drawings? What I mean is that the stern is entirely diferent to any drawing I've seen on the basic Dealey. If (as you say) the Norwegian class had a raised bow, but the stern remained unchanged, then it is incorrect. Also:
I'm not sure if this translates fully into English. But are you saying "This is the hull shading I have always been doing"? If so, then that is just not good enough; sorry, but we are not in AU here, you will have to give a real reason for the shading - that does not seem to have any useful function - and please don't reply that it is on a whim - that won't be acceptable.

I'm not being unduly hard here, but ensuring the standards are kept up

That is a top class drawing.

96.6m is 316.9 feet, or in this case 634 pixels.
