In the fall of 1885, the Minister of Marine Spanish, instructs the Lieutenant 1 st Fernando Villamil who conducted a study to design a ship with greater range, better livability and to accompany the squad and to defend the enemy torpedo boats, in addition to also act as such.

Villaamil asked several British shipyards projects and finally, in 1885, chose the one presented by the shipyard of James & George Thompson of Clydebank (Scotland) and was named the Destroyer.

Since naming a new class of ships.

Not bad, not bad at all. I only have four nits.
1) The tops of the masts looks a bit odd. There seems to be one or two extra black pixels on the rear side of them. I think if you remove those they'll look much better.
2) Given the way you've drawn the davits, the boat should be on the inside of them. If it was swung to the outside the davits would look like straight poles from our point of view.
3) Spain should be written as Spain and not SPAIN
4) You're a bit inconsistent in your shading. Specifically, the way you've shaded the sponson doesn't match the way you've done it on the funnel. And while we're talking about shading, you might want to increase the contrast on the lower hull shading.

One more thing. There's a couple of places on the fore and mizzen mast where the lines doesn't line up. You should fix those as well.

This is a very promising effort, Corso! Just fix the issues indicated by Thiel and it's going to be great :)
Also the superstructure should be shaded lighter than hull, not the other way around.

That's a nice ship and I like it very much. Thanks for the history lesson. I was aware why destroyers are called that but I didn't knew the origin. Always nice to know that detail ;) A tiny thing (I'm sorry) but it seems to me that the window colour isn't sb standard :?

Actually, if I'm interpreting this painting correctly the superstructure isn't white. In fact it seems to be the same shade as the funnel. And while we're speaking of the funnel, it should be a more yellow colour.

You're right. It's slightly too light

The new drawing after the suggested corrections, the color of the helmet seems to be white in the pictures you see with the superstructure in a much darker color.

Thank you all for your contributions.

Nice...
thougth includes some basic newbie mistakes that everyone has made:
- the searchlamp platform. Drawn it with three pixels, not just with one black line... the art of shipbucket is art of controlled exageration of smaller details.
- the guns contains bit too much overlapsing black pixels. try to clean them up by drawing only the outlines and barrel with black.
- the scuttles (portholes) needs to be of the larger style. That sort of small "cross" shaped is basicly "allowable" only when operating something smaller than 20 meters ;)

Anyways, nice to see new artists presenting ships that are not yet done.
