here is my last contribution from this year, Can pretty much promise not to focus on active drawing for the remaining days Anyway, not anything least however, here comes Oleg of the famed Bogatyr class, the last protected cruisers of the Imperial Russian fleet: Im quite pleased to the outcome, as I deliberatly tried to get rid of all unnesserical details, and the quite blank grey scheme puts up more attention to the ship's actuall lines and shapes that definetly deserves all focus. Ill propably return to this era with the Pallada's and Bayan's, to complete the tsarist Baltic fleet at sometime in next year. |

I think admiral Enkvist is smiling in his heaven ... - I know Petr Alekseevich Bezobrazov is...he came down, whispering in my ear "draw my flagship too - make the Vladivostok Squadron known to the world"! However, His Excellency requested me to ask you, Gollevainen, as to what year your ship is depicted, for when he last saw the sister of the Oleg (Bogatyr) she was painted Olive Drab Green, and could not recall any orders from General Admiral Avelan to use any other colors - even on ships dispatched from the Baltic to the Pacific. Please honor this great Russian admiral's request! |

its sort of Shipbucket default hazegray Paint's biggest defiences comes in producing good colors... the scheme what Ive followed would have been really dark grey (or black) with golden funnels with black caps |

I agree, Golly, with respect to the shorts of Paint. It's a hassle at times to achieve the right color. Now, for my project, which will feature the units of the famous 1st Cruiser Brigade of Vladivostok, would you mind if I Cannibalize' some items of yours, that I can tell are well-drawn for my three cruisers-to-come; such as the 76mm guns, boats etc? You certainly have raised the bar intolerably high for me now! |
