why should I. I was going to Bodø I would fly.

If you are impressed with the engine sound (I could not find a video of old ms Tedno boat that yelled so much that you could hear it a half hour before it came, so here is ms vingtor. ) Regards Bergen!:

I didn`t mean travel to Bodø with it. Skogøy operates from Bodø. Skogøys noise is more beautiful and louder than the Vingtors.

I miss the old ms Tedno. 6000 hp and one could hear her coming a long distance. She had a fantastic soundtrack, the roar of the V16 from her but a taste of the compressor sound, so wonderful ... sooo noisy :-)

Not as noisy. but the funny with her is that the two Merceders engines she came with got a rpm barrier after a season's use. the reason is:

used too much fuel at high revs.
Had a habit of damaging the gear.
She went faster than what was needed (36 knots when the route speed is 30 knots!)

HSD AS is weird company. Tide AS took over and sold almost all of the boats.

The boat in the video you posted has the same sound as the Vingtor. Here is a couple of videos, one on Skogøy on departure and one on land. These videos will perfectly illustrate the beauty and the loudness of the sound.

the sound reminds me of the sound to Tedno just a little deeper, but then she has slightly larger engines, so one should not compare her with Skogøy.

The best sound i now about is an old Detroit or Maybach V8/V10 starting up.

btw. we are quite off topic here. and you should draw Skogøy in sb-scale
