The only thing I can see is that in the photos the bow is angled forwards slightly, while yours is a perfect vertical line. Nice drawing though. |

Not really |

You are sort of both right, their is a slight angle (less than 10 degrees) actually, hard too see in both pictures |

I thought as much that shows it better. It's very slight, but it's there. |

The above is not very accurate, plus I would need to add a single pixel line thickness halfway on the bow which looks apalling, plus it curves the same amount backwards up to the deck. Also I have the suspision that it is not the same in each ship. |

It wouldn't look appalling, it would look ACCURATE I suspect similar, maybe the earlier ships in the class had it |

Not even ACCURATE. The thickness of 1 pixel could barely suggest difference from the waterline to the deck, so if done halfway it would be wrong. The only way around it is to heavily exaggerate, as we sometimes HAVE to do in SB since we use the constrains of MSPaint and the lack of soft edges. So it is either vertical, or this to suggest slight angle: |

Personally I prefer the angled bow (and not just because I proposed it ) |
