first this version. the various rebuilds will come soon, the minehunters and other modifications might take some more time.

hmm now you say so, they look indeed similar. I don't know if there is an relation though, as the wildervank (practically these ships on the outside) were payed by the US, so if they would choose an brit design..... I doubt it. but everything is possible, anybody got more info on this?

The Ton class were the base for basically every western large coastal minesweeper in the early postwar period. Pretty much like how the Ham class were for the small ones.

Indeed Ton class. These small coastal minesweepers were the basis for the Dutch ships, and even France had a class of ships based on the Ton class, as well as Canada.
Anyway a very nice effort here Ace.

and 1983-1999.... now I have to work backwards, by removing the enclosed bridge, and after that I will do the wildervank and.... does somebody has refs for the 'duikvaartuig' (don't know the english name) and minehunter versions?

possibly ;) an explanation: it is an diver mothership.... but that is not the currect name as well. dive boat, if translated literally, means duikboot = submarine :D which it surely isn't!
