Tenryu and Tatsuta were light cruisers designed as destroyer flotilla leaders. Both ships were built in 1918 and they were able to reach 33 knots speed.

Very nice! Any plans to do their proposed AA cruiser version, too?

Well, it was never built and, as far as I'm aware, there aren't any decent reference on how it would look. So probably no.

How about when they were completed?
This is a very fine work WhyMe.

Thank you, Novice.
I was actually thinking of drawing Tatsuta in the late years of the WW2 but "as built" variant is also a possibility.

Impressive :) These older Japanese warships have a unique look about them.

True. Actually, only two classes of IJN light cruisers aren't drawn yet: Nagara and Sendai. And since both are very similar to their common ancestor - the Kuma class - I'll probably draw them some time in foreseeable future ;)

This is really good! Great to see more obscure IJN warships being drawn!

Excellent work. Just a really great drawing that shows SB style at its best.
