Only two ships of this class were ever built: USS Erie and USS Charleston.

Very odd class for the USN, too overcrowded to be truly useful but this drawing looks great!

Well, I guess I'll take this one off my work list then.

I'm so sorry, BrockPaine; I didn't mean to steal your (or anyone else's) project. And I did search the forum for both Erie and Charleston but it didn't show your signature in the search results so I was pretty sure the ship was unclaimed.

*LOL* well, Brock, I wanted to do her as well, but this edition is simply awesome, so no shame in that! WhyMe, you baffle me with your skills!

I shouldn't be worried too much, WhyMe, Brock's a thoroughly decent gentleman! Besides neither one of us can match your result anyway!

Eh, well, it was accidental, and I haven't had the chance to work on it in a month or more anyway. And Bezo's right - you've done it to a much higher standard than I probably would have, so I can't be too upset.

Gorgeous vessel, but I can't help but to think she looks more Kriegsmarine than USN. Certainly an oddity.
