Sleipner class H48 Sleipner (L01/F300) Displacement: 735/597 tons Dimensions: Length 74.3 m, width 7.8 m, depth 2.8 m. Machinery * 2 De Laval turbines, 12,500 BHP, 30 knots Crew: 75 man Weapons: 1936: 3 * 102mm L/40 guns 1 * 40mm Bofors L/60 gun 2 * 0.5" machine guns (must find out where it should be. but think it should be just under the 40mm Bofors) 2 * 53.3 cm torpedo tubes 1953: 3 * 76mm cannon 2 * 40mm cannon 220mm cannon Built by the Navy Main Yard, Horten, building number 120 Launched on 7, May 1936 1940: Participated in the battles in Romsdalen 9 April 1940: Shot down a German plane that crashed at Nordvik in Romsdalen 22 April 1940: Arrived in Shetland 27 April 1940: repaired and partly rebuilt 1940: Granted number H 48 1940: Escort service on the east coast of Britain 1945: Sailed to Norway in May 1946: New No. 01 L 1948: Converted to frigate 1950: New number F 300 1959: scrapped and sold for scrap at the "Brødrene Anda, Stavanger. there were also five other ships in the Sleipner class. "Æger" sank the German vessel "Roda". Was bombed to total wreck of the German planes later in the day 8 men were killed. "Gyller" Taken over by German forces. Partly rebuilt and christened "Lowe" "Odin" Taken over by German forces. Partly rebuilt and christened "Panther" "Tor" Sunk by the crew docked in Fredrikstad 9 April. Raised by the Germans and rebuilt and renamed "Tiger" "Balder" Taken over by German forces at karljohansværn in Horten. Partly rebuilt and renamed "Leopard" "Balder" was just completed and it was not hoisted Norwegian command on the boat yet. it was first hoisted Norwegian command for the first time on the boat in 1946. |

My sleipner is indeed from the times the actuall style haden't yet envolped. It certainly was in need of updating But usually It would be kind enough to ask beforehand from the orginal artist before going to do it. But since your drawing is indeed quite good lookin, and you are norwegian, and becouse I bet you mean no harm, I can upload this one instead Next time, be the artist whom ever, ask a kinda request before drawing/posting a remake of allready existing drawing, okey? |
