Hello everyone,

Today I bring you some more Confederate naval ships from the Civil War, this time the armed tug Teaser and the submarine Pioneer.

Teaser spent its life before the Civil War as the tugboat York River, until she was pressed into service with the CSN after being purchased in 1861. Her most notable actions in the CSN was her role in the Battle of Hampton Roads as the tender of the infamous Virginia and survived the battle. Following the battle, she was used as an "aircraft carrier" that was equipped with an observation balloon that was used to spot Union positions. She also acted as a minelayer, performing this position in 1862 up and down the James River. She was captured in July of that year after engaging the USS Maratanza, when her boiler was hit and exploded. I have depicted her in 1862, by herself and with her observation balloon.

The other ship depicted is the submarine Pioneer, which I have depicted in 1862. She was originally a private venture, and was essentially the Confederate counterpart to the USS Alligator. She did not have a significant service life, as she was launched in 1861 and was scuttled after initial trials in April 1862.

Nice work, two little craft that have come out well in SB scale. Always good to see some US Civil War vessels in SB.

Very interesting additions.
(but usually the doors and portholes etc. etc. are outlined in black)
(and we don't use templates smaller than 1000x330 pixels, no matter what :geek: )
