I AM BACK WITH MORE JAPAN BOAT!

This time the Plucky little "Hanshin Bypass Ferry" vessels Senshu and Settsu of 1971

sadly Hanshin Bypass (and MANY other small ferries) died in 1974 with the oil crisis, and as a result both ships were sold to Utaka Kokudo Ferry, whom operated them until 1988 when sold to Unknown operators in China (fate still a mystery to this day for both of them)

Firstly the Senshu

as built in 1971 (note the odd company colors):

then in 1974 following the sale to Utaka Kokudo:

at some point in the 1970s (exact date unknown) both ships had their aft mast and funnels repainted Grey, with the Udon Logo staying either blue or red depending on the sister):

again at a mystery date (this time early 80s) the Ships were both rather "radically" rebuilt and given a fleet-wide blue and yellow paint scheme:

in 1988 she and her sister were both sold to Chinese Operators in Haikou (being renamed Xin Hai 1 and 2), the fate of them is unknown but probably scrapped by the early 2000s:

next and lastly is the Surprisingly differently designed sister "Settsu"

As built in 1971:

after sale in 1974, Note the rather unique funnel coloring:

Livery Change in mid-late 70s:

Second Livery Change and minor refit in 1980s:

and finally as "Xin Hai 1" in 1988:

Next up I will be doing another Japanese built RO-RO Ferry, though this time one which I'd say the good majority of us here sadly know the story of all too well since it happened in 2014...

Thank you! (I'm doing my best haha, after the Sewol I will probably be doing some more larger ferries, like the "Hankyu" ferries of the 60s and 70s or the Hiroshima Green Ferries of 1971)
