Question to all you who is experts in armament on ships. According to the Supply Class data (before they were transferred to MSC) each vessel got two MK88 25 mm machine guns. In my way of common sense it would either be placed fore and aft, or one on each side. I have now studied several pictures in the US Navy configuration, and all four (Supply, Rainier, Arctic and Bridge) have both MK88 on starbord side above each other. And the upper seems to have very little sideways angle to move. Heres my question: In which way does it give sense :?:

Are you certain that's what we're seeing?

Not sure what Klagldsf is trying to say but If it is two mk 88s, could be a second set of mounts added for transits through unfriendly waters?

No, I'm not sure when something goes against logic (or should I phrase it my logic?). Generally the photos of the Supply Class in USN service are of such quality, that when you zoom in they got pixellated. But I can confirm, that no pics from port side indicates any machine guns. The picture above is the best quality from starbord side. The upper gun (if it is a gun!) has the same shape as Raytheons MK 88 seen from the front. The lower has also the right shape seen from the side though it seems to be covered by a cover.

. I have looked at all my photos of US fast Combat support Ships (T-AOE) which I suspect are the same as most every ones else's when these ships where armed there is definably something there and from one early 1994 photo that I would assume it’s a 25mm above and HMGs below. my 1990 Cobmat fleets of the world says that they where to fitted with 25mm guns.
I assume that these where removed when the ships where disarmed, nothing there now

Thanks Graham. Maybe I just have that misfortune, that all pictures from the port side (in US Navy) accidently was taken, when the guns were stowed away? Because besides the two 25 mm they also have two 12,7 mm HMG so your explanation gives much sense. If no one is protesting, I will draw USS Supply with the 25 mm up and the HMG below ;)

Finish with the big parts now. Now it's time for the details, but I'm sure you all now faintly see what they would look soon :D
