That's a great drawing Novice, of an undervalued ship (she was a Gibbs design, like the UNITED STATES and AMERICA). What's also interesting, she still exists, as the ugly cruise ship THE EMERALD: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/pho ... lid=765153

My only comments would be that the bridge looks a bit sketchy (I don't think the bridge windows sloped back like that, the slope started above the bridge windows, see here: http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo ... 4850IIRoZe ) and the name on the bow looks a bit scribbly.

Some shots of the real thing:

Anyway, great work!

Yes, this is a very lovely looking ship, well done shipmate :) One minor quibble, you might want to lower the shipbucket logo below the hull.

Awww...brings about such fond memories of reading Björn Landström's epic work "Skeppet" (The Ship), published in 1962! He made a beautiful color drawing of the Santa Rosa.

I've updated the drawing of the Santa Rosa, and would like to thank you all for your remarks.

Anyone thought about doing the SS France from 1912? Both as a passenger liner and as a hospital ship? I've tried to find drawings, but no luck, so if anyone wants to do her, feel free.
