Many posters here are either sloppy typists or unaware that the words 'good' and 'god' are different. 'Good' means excellent, high quality, respectful. 'God' is the big boss in a religion. Father of Jesus, that sort of thing.

So they're making a joke. 'God work' would be work of a quality befitting a god, so presumably utterly perfect and without fault. Which is sort of arrogant, therefore the joke.

I know a lot of people here are foreigners and I extend them some slack. But as someone who's a double-major engineer and English (writing, specifically, no less) it is a bit grating - though I learn to deal with it :P

And yes I'm quite aware that this post is filled with technical grammatical errors itself :P
