As I wrote, I do not use electronic translators, I do not know English so well because I learned to go without school and instead of criticizing how do I say / write in English I propose to learn another language besides English. And then criticize how it is read and write in another language only by your own brain.
Dear Alvama, my adventure with the Yamato began in the mid 70's, when a magazine published his most famous picture, along with an imperfect figure, but which gave the appearance view. I copied this drawing by zooming into it and was on the wall of my room for over 15 years, in the meantime published a book Skulski and my thesis to obtain a master's degree was the fuselage of model Yamato, whose plans I have for today.
In my library is about 20 publications and books on only a Yamato, and from the mid 90s of last century, ever since he began to boom in Yamato, my knowledge of these battleships (Yamato, Musashi, Shinano) is still growing.
Your artwork is beautiful, very well done, but misses the historical truth - and that's my point, it is almost pure science fiction - and who is right here? Famous authors, dozens if not hundreds of very serious works dedicated only a Yamato, after 1993 saw the release of pictures and the original plans of Yamato - or a graphic with over 10 major errors.
I show you errors and you spit at me, laughing at my knowledge - not very nice.
So in conclusion - Janusz Skulski has been my neighbor for many years, we do not even know about this and this humble man, he paralyzes with his knowledge of Yamato, that even such a respectable company like Tamiya has removed from sale on its model of Yamato after his devastating critique.
And I only a pointed out some errors.

From Matt's link here, it seems that what was considered by me (amongst others), to be the upper edge of the armour belt, is the de-gaussing cable and under it there are some portholes. I don't know if the image is entirely accurate (at least by TeJotGie standards), but many of his remarks are sound and he seems to know what he is talking about.
I also think that the language barrier has had some effect, but than most of this forum members are not native English speakers, and this must be taken into account.

Work on the update has been long and delayed by my schedule, but here is some major updating that i have done so far and is still a WIP. Let me know of any errors you may see (excluding the credits, I know that is messed up ).

On a further note, I am in no way stating that Alex's original drawing is wrong, it is a quality drawing.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

That awful step in the gun barrel needs to go. None of the big guns have it.

I was trying to convey the gradual thickening of the barrel that occurs from bore to blast bag.

Pretty well established that gun barrels should have defined "sections". Alvama's drawing of the gun barrel was fine.

Not really sure why this drawing needs to be revised anyway but I guess you're free to do it if you really want...
