I think i single curved line on the hull is unessesery. A darker red shading would look best.

You need to ad the waterline.
About the mast it most likely were yellow. Raw wood deteriorates very fast at sea and varnish weren't really used except on yachts since it was relatively expensive compared to paint. The yellow colour (called buff) was popular because it was cheaper than most other paints.

I know what buff is though I don't think the Sprinwell had brass cowl vents.

sorry to say, but right now your mast and vents look like they were greenish brown or something. I doubt that is your intention......
