Yes, not owned, but under contract and the govt has shelled out some $$$ to mod the ship to carrying boarding crews, extra RHIB's and medical facilities and accomadation for illeagal immigrants. And its now armed, with a couple of .50 cal HMG's! :?

The same principle is also in the Norwegian Coast Guard. ships are built for the Coast Guard, but owned and rented out by a Norwegian shipping company.

I may change some parts of this ship when I next get some time to go over it so comments are, as always, most welcome. But as a whole I like the look of the actual design.

@nebnoswal: I hope you are able to obtain some good references for ACV Ocean Protector, I'd love to see what you do with it :)
