While applying a few corrections Spike sent me, I began to notice a few things that I too could see were not quite right. It’s amazing what I’ve learned in the last six months since I joined Ship Bucket.
To cut to the chase, I decided to update the earlier versions of the Tennessee and repost them together.
The USS Tennessee (BB-43) as commissioned.

Note that:
She now has boom cranes in the fantail and on either side of #3 turret.
The 3”/50s have been replaced with 5”/25s.
Two catapults have been added.

She now has a new crane in the stern.
Mk-19 AA gun directors on either side of her bridge level.
Her signal bridge is one level higher.
Declination marks added to # 2 & 3 turrets.
MG pans added to her observation tops.

The main cage mast has been removed and replaced by a rectangular tower.
Shields and splinter pans added to her 5”/25s.
She has received her first Mk-3 and SG radars.
