Great drawing, but IMHO these huge windows (shading) are not within the style.

Here is a ship from a by gone age, the Tjibantjet, built in Great Britain in 1952, at Sunderland (and was also the main piece in a documentary film called "A Ship is Built"), and delivered to the Koninklijke Java-China-Japan Lijn (KJCPL), under the banner of Royal Interocean Lines, for a service between East Asia, Africa and South America, carrying cargo and 10 passengers. In 22/9/1957 the ship grounded at Hong Kong during Typhoon Gloria. In June 1958 the ship was salvaged, repaired and brought back into service, until sold in 1972 to Panamanian owners and renamed Mercury River. The ship ended her days at Kaohsiung, Taiwan where she was scrapped in 1974.

are there an particular reason why the painted the stern Black (ruder, etc.)

As for the black painted stern, I really don't the answer for it, but it was common for British built merchant ships of the 1950's and as late as 1960's. It may have to do with British experience in WW2 regards to noise reduction (?) or visibility when facing U-Boats (?)

nice drawing, only three things I have on my list (haven't studied it closely):

1. dark red line at the bow, above the bulbous bow, I would do without that dark read line. (line like that is for indicating that something is at an 45 degree angle in that area, or there are something build out/in).

2. we Normally draw "SB" drawing with the sun (direction of light), coming in from the front. it is now illustrated as it is coming from the side.

3. on one of the deck windows on the aft section of the promenade deck are in a darker blue than the rest (third window section)

I get that feeling, that something isn't right, but can't pinpoint it, might be how the shading is illustrated, compared to how we usually do it. how knows

fixed some errors in the picture and add some details.

Incredible work. I like it as it seems good to me. Maybe there are some issues with the shading, but, shading at SB had progressed so much, many artists take thier own path in many ways.
All in all the drawing looks good, it represents the France and I hope Norway will follow soon.
