This is pretty much the case of all subsequent aircraft carriers as such long design and construction times meant that incremental improvements were made to each one - to the point where at least Ronald Reagan and G.H.W. Bush actually do have lengthened waterlines and are truly unique ships. It's likely if not inevitable that each unit of the Gerald Ford class will in fact be a unique vessel.

EDIT: And this is why I should check Wikipedia first before opening my trap, they all actually have the same length at waterline.

Awesome thanks ace. I'll do the hull (which is fairly consistent throughout the class) and you can do the island when the hull's ready. The difference in hulls was that 63 and 64 resembled the Forrestals for (ie angular, flat plates), America had the hull rounded off more, and JFK had the Terrier replaced with MK25 and a few other minor differences. I'll PM you when the hull is done. Thanks in advance for the help.

I believe you best should start from scratch for the JFK, as it was effectively an new design (just as different from the class as the forrestal)
also, you know my expertise is mainly in radars, directors, belowdeck parts, missile systems...... so I doubt the 'I do the island' thing is an good idea just ask me if you run against walls how to draw things or what part to use (or if an variation of an system doesn't look right, or doesn't fit, or no drawing exists etc)

And I can play you'r left hand here "Acelanceloet" I have time to do small works here and there, so if you f.ex. have an drawing that need to be cleaned up, or something that needs to be drawn without colors I can do them.... If you need that type of help.

I think a USN supercarrier is a fitting candidate to be worked on by three different artists.

Haha alright Ace. However, the hull was the same throughout the class (AFAIK), with the exception of America and JFK having the stem anchor to clear the sonar domes. Heuhen, I may take you up on the offer. I'll get started soon, I'm busier than a one-legged man at a tail-kicking competition (!) with Tarawa and Anchorage and others (hehe). And by the way, I PMed Alvama the other day regarding parts from Midway with no answer. If anybody could bump him (or if you (he) could reply) that would be great.

Alvama's drawings are nice but I won't vouch for the pixel-level accuracy of the Midway. He is more of an "artist" than a researcher.

Well, I do many research too actually, but mostly I can only do that by Dutch and Russian ships, since I don't know anything about USN, and you guys wanted to see me doing a USN ship. And as far people could tell me and looking at pitures the Midway is good, and if needed I'll fix the stuff what's wrong. I haven't seen you Gator_Country, by reading it got lost and I didn't knew who send it. But reading here, you need a clean deck pln, whitout aircrafts?

Hence why I keep myself to Dutch, Russian, old and merchant ships now, to do not hear such comments
