Say what you will about him, his steely eyed glare hasn't rusted with time.

Chuck- Your definitely nailed it there! Clint may have seen the Captains Chair in the drawing and approved it. LOL
Hood- Great Drawing on HMS Repulse! Will there also be 1 of her sister ship HMS Renown too?

Y turret shading fixed.
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, given the level of details on this it took about two weeks and seemed to take longer than Hood, and I thought that was a big job!
Work on this series will continue but at the moment Furious is demanding some attention...

I read Cecil Brown's excellent account of the battle of Force Z when I was younger and I was very impressed with the calm professionalism of the RN crew that was added to by reading Ronald Spector's At War At Sea about the horrible battle of Crete. Marvelous drawing of a brave ship and her crew. Ah but for a squadron or two of Buffalos....

Unfortunately the RN was intending to add a carrier to Force Z (HMS Indomitable was on the way to join Force Z, grounded in while entering port at Jamaica), but because of the mishap the carrier was delayed and Force Z sailed without air cover and into history . BTW some see it as a lucky thing that HMS Indomitable was not able to join Force Z, as she would have been sunk with the other ships, or so it is surmised.
Again I want to express my admiration to Hood's work here.

Agreed, absolutely beautiful. Flawed, but still beautiful...
