I'm not aware of it having been done, though I didn't even know it existed until now (is it replacing the Oceanic Viking?)

They probably didn't commandeer it, but there's been plenty of fairly young ships for sale lately due to companies cancelling orders and downscaling.

Yes, it replaced the Viking in Jun 2010. Its been inserivce for over 12 months. It used to be the Skandi Bergen, built in Norway 2007. If anyone knows where to gret some planviews, I'm willing to give it try.

ACV Ocean Protector

ACV Ocean Protector is the former ACV Skandi Bergen.
The hull is "Hull design Aker ROV 06 DE"

the images here are of the same design only marked as PSV 06 ROV What you must do is to combine drawings of the image with the images in the PDF further down.

Huh, according to those PDFs the vessel isn't actually owned by the Australian government per se, but operating under a contract.
