The First LNG powered Container Ship in the world launched earlier this year from San Diego.

I know the superstructure has some errors, and will fix them as I get more and better pictures:

During the early years of the 20th century, Scandinavian ship owners were at the forfront of Diesel engine use in their merchant ships.
One such owner was the Johnson Line Ab of Sweden, and by the 1930's all of their ships were motorships. One of the early one was the ms Balboa built in 1920-1921.
