That is very, very nice work Kim. Furious looks lovely in her camouflaged rendition. Somehow it make her look less boxy and primitive looking. Great work.

HMS Furious in 1932 as originally rebuilt as a flush-decked aircraft carrier in the late 1920s. Her armament is a mix of 4.7in DP and 4in HA guns with the two quadruple 2pdr pom-poms added during 1932. Furious in 1932 had been refitted and was in Home waters that year on training duties.


HMS Furious in 1943 as she approached the end of her active life with the island added in 1939 and her new 4in DP armament and augmented AA guns. Not quite the beauty she once was she nevertheless remained an important part of the Home Fleet during the threat of Tirpitz and contributed to the raids upon her.

The Soryu-class was never referred to as "The Weird Sisters", so yes, I think this thread should be exclusively for the RN.
