The following two drawings are of Richelieu at Dakar, the first is May-December 1941

and the second, April-December1942.

The two dark gray areas in the lower hull are repairs made to patch the damage caused by British torpedoes and depth bombs detonated by a torpedo explosion. One of the 15in guns in the number 2 turret is damaged and it's barrel removed.
The upper portion of the bridge tower on the 1942 version is camouflaged in a pattern shown in photos of the period.

Next is September 1943.

The 1942 37mms weren't centered so I corrected it and must have copied to the 1941.

Colombamike has just given me some additional information about Richelieu’s Light AA Gun arrangement which dug up from God knows where. I will be posting the new drawings along side of the originals. I have already added Richelieu Escaping Brest France for Dakar 18 June 1940.

Enjoy ;)

This entry should be placed before the above two drawings in 1941 after the Battle of Dakar.

Richelieu at Dakar just prior to the Battle of Dakar
