Okay

Here is a reposting since Majhost seems defunct.

Seems like I have to repost all my ships.

Just shift the credits around. Karle's needs to be first, since he's the original artist.

Got Yah.

To what extent is one allowed to copy from someone else’s drawing—say a gun pan—before you must credit him or her? Is there any allowance, or are we required to attribute any and everything? We have part’s sheets and such. Just looking for guidance.

Strictly speaking, you don't need to ask someone for permission to use their drawing. It's considered more civil and polite though, ESPECIALLY if it's an AU or PD design, since the design "belongs" to the artist. If I ever want to use an already existing drawing, I always ask, regardless of wether it's a RL, NW, AU, or PD drawing, if nothing else as a sign of courtesy.
Regarding crediting: If you use large chunks from someone else's drawing, like parts of the hull or the superstructure, you should credit. Armament, directors, radar, boats, gear, and other assorted gribbles doesn't need to be credited.

Was the aft mast supposed to look like that? None of the pictures I have from the 20s show the mast like that, they have a three tier cage mast that were on the original drawing.

Let me look into that. The mast I drew was taken from a photo of a model and was undoubtedly more impressionistic than actual.

Ah, okay. If you want the real thing you better hide that before Colosseum sees it. But, what you are doing here might actually be good as you can test things and improve your artistic skills.
