indeed i might do them, but i'll consider the possibiity only after doing all the IJN DDs in my worklist, so right now they are free to be picked by anyone who wants to draw them.

Awesome work! The only thing missing is the lettering on the side of the hull. If you need a chart, I'll send you one.

Very fair enough. I might even be inclined to do them, but I won't "claim" them if someone else wants to take a shot. And I won't protest if you beat me to the punch.

Considering your exceptionally high standards, BB1987, I firmly think we ought to wait patiently for you to eventually do the Chidoris as well, no criticism towards klagldsf in airing this opinion. Heck, I wouldn't claim these, actually no IJN-vessels with such a prolific and proficient in-house artist on the subject!

Here is IJN Nenohi as of 1933, she and Hatsuharu where the only two (out of six) to enter service as originally designed, the others where modified while they where under construction.
[ img ]
Nenohi was slighty different, with a small antenna fitted above the compass platform and some more riggings

and pardon me if i post this here also, i just need to keep it visible as i've not managed to find visual sources about this particular arrangement.
the first four Hatsuharu class destroyers (Hatsuharu herself, Nenohi, Wakaba and Hatsushimo) where fitted in late 1933/early 1934 with 300mm torpedo bulges on each side in order to increase stability, if anyone is in possess of pictures or drawings showing the ships in this timeframe (late 33/early34, before the main reconstruction) with the bulges visibile it would be highly appreciated

currently there are no drawings of the Chidori Class TB, and they are not claimed by anyone as far as i know.
Seeing the following thread, seems Thiel claimed the Chidori, quite a long time ago, and I was thinking of doing the Otori. I rest any claims for the Otori, seeing that BB1987's work on IJN ships is so much better than what I could have achieved.

actually Thiel said on the very next page that he gave up on them.

Really nice work... and nice to have all the special type destroyers finally getting coverage. Also, having Otori and other of the TPs would be indeed nice, despite who makes them (I could even make one of them if no one else is willing, but I adjoin that BB1987 have made rather essential IJN looks here)
