What I can see, on closer examination, is the possibility of using a lighter tone to delineate the hull blister from the hull proper. Basically, since the SB standards decree that the light is from above, all such facing surfaces should have a lighter application, while the surfaces facing away from the light should be one or two hues darker. I would also apply this to the blister fairings either side, to make it stand out more. But, having given this advice, that's all I think you really can do with the hull. Like Erik said: it's pretty slab-sided!
