USS Rudderow

Of all 8 US Navy destroyer escort classes only two are currently on the main site: Cannon and Evarts. Also I know there were a few attempts on other DE classes on the old forum but it looks like they didn't make it.

In addition I will definitely draw the Crosley class fast transport (converted Rudderow class).
Also if there's no objections I'm willing to attempt drawing Buckley, Edsall and John C. Butler classes.

Another very fine piece of work.

Very fine work, but the foreward 5"/38 gun mounting is wrong. These ships had a unique mounting with a sloped roof aft, so that the Hedgehog rockets will clear the the mounting.

Thanks guys.
You're right about the guns, Novice; I will fix that.

Update: the 5" guns have been fixed.

Huehen, Thank you for the research!

WhyMe, If you wish to do the Butler class, I have no problems with that...I was considering getting some real design practice with a few superyachts before transitioning (back) into real warship designs.

I think you started it first anyway, so by all means feel free to take it over.
