Yes I've also seen that. Also another sister ship was/is the Stevens and belongs to the university of that name.

Thank you for the heads-up. I'll look it up asap.

Thank you all. T2 tankers and others are part of the program. I've mentioned it before , but all the ships I intend on drawing, will be represented as merchant ships, so that the 'S' types are not in my plans ('S' types are the Frigates (PF-1) the Cassablanca class of CVE and the LST)

In 1938 the American Export lines ordered 4 cargo ships for their Meditarenian service. These four were later joined by four more, and were included in the MARAD program. After the war some more ships were acquired, all to the same basic design, with four being converted to the 'Four Aces' (see above).

I intend to convert the T2 tanker to an AOR,2 of these supported the RHN mission to South Korea, for an fictional naval exercise called "Pacific Eagle" with South Korean,Japanese and USN which take place since 1977 in sea around South Korea every two years. The modified (and rebuilt) T2s served 1960-1989.

More from the MARAD program.
The C3 type was seen as very suitable for conversion for combination of passengers & cargo, and many types were so converted. Six ships were ordered by the American President lines for their around the world service, the first President Jackson, being re-routed around the Cape of Good hope because of the war in Europe. All were converted to Attack transports, and one the President Van Buren was damaged beyond repair, the others returned after the war.
