It is a pitty that the USN scrapped and sunk most of them, IMO before their time.

Not really. AFAIK most of them had fatigue issues, and ff they hadn't the USN wouldn't have gotten nearly as many Arleigh Burkes

Yes, though I'm curious how changing a few parts around warrants the addition of your name to the credits...

Yea I agree, adding just newly done weapons really shouldnt suffice for crediting oneself, and expecially to do such in order to just get one's credits into the drawing is IMO bit lame.
Back in the ol' days we have had some quarrels about this and I think we came to pretty gentlemen's agreement that we either a. wont even do such and let the orginal artist to keep up their drawings to update or b. if we do it, the drawing actually needs a considerable attention in actuall drawing wise to suffice for crediting (Back then it was easy becouse most ships lacked underwaterhulls thus they were added along with other updates)

if it was just swapping a few parts, I would agree. but I did most of the shading, added that sloop instead of the RHIB, made some fixes to the hangar etc. IMO, that would be sufficient for credits, if it really is not, I will remove it. this was more an sidewalk from the mk 71 spruance, because that one was 99% this one while this one was not yet put in the archive.
