These are, of course, excellent drawings. The change in HF radio fit is interesting. I did a double-take at the Nov 1944 fit, which seems to show the SC-2 antenna actually bracketed to SK, but the top view makes the arrangement clear. Hooray for top view!

Fabulous work, as usual.

I think you should ignore all the needy guys asking for the post-war versions and stick to the wartime stuff.

My only reservation is around the aircraft - surely there are better versions of these somewhere? I recognize them as some of the first "planebucket" drawings I made back in like 2008-2009. Surely some of our fame-seeking newer members have redone these? As they're the "frontline" and most famous American planes of the war, I'm surprised these seem to be the only ones available.

I agree it looks a little strange and it's hard to pick out the lattice mast of the SC-2. I might try some different arrangements like a profile of the SK or something.
Yes, for the time being I'm very happy researching the wartime variants. There's so much to cover and they underwent a lot of changes in a short space of time due to the wartime experience and requirements.

Regarding the aircraft; I agree that they need an update. I put a call out for aircraft and that was what I got. If there are other variants out there, I'd be pleased to see them. If I have to make an aircraft sheet I will do so, it's just adding to the workload!

Hello Charybdis ! This is indeed great work. I was always fascinated by Essexes compact looks and size. And how such big and complex ships could be completed in a very short time totalling 24 units !
Late war units with Bofors mounts on side platforms especially look powerful.

I see that there is an incomplete white paint at the corner of the aft hangar elevator of USS Essex during 1943. But I suppose that is intentional.

One question though, no F4U Corsair air groups were aboard as of 1944 ?
