USA, Ferry James M. Donahue (1875).
Ol' James was a "Railroad Man" a-building some of the first roads in California. Made a ton of money, had a lot of stuff named for him in San Francisco. He was really good at generating investor funding and spending it. Had one heck of an ego to boot. This was one of the early ferryboats built for the San Francisco & North Pacific Railroad. Before the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges there were dozens of ferries plying San Francisco Bay. The ferries pretty much went extinct in the 1940's with only a few rotting survivors remaining as offices, museum exhibits and derelict hunting club houses up in the Delta.

I just wonder if she was colored in gray, or black? if black I think giving it a darker shade would be better (IMHO that is).

A Novice:
Really dark shades of gray to black were simply too dark for my tastes. Tried it and found it hides details.

A nicely done representation.

Nicely done, but I think it's not really in the "Shipbucket style".

A small Baltic steamer from Sweden, the SS Vega was built for the Svea company of Sweden. The ship was used during WW2 by the Internatinal Red Cross on Humanitarian aid, first between Marseilles and Lisbon, and later was used to bring food and medical supplies the the German occupied Channel Islands. Six trips were made to the Channel Islands, the last in 1945.
