I am looking for information, drawings, about the S. S. Carolina, a passenger ship that was sunk on "Black Sunday" by a German sub in WWI. Yeah, I thought it was a cool thing to add in. Being the lakes are fresh water, they draw water in directly for the boilers, treat it with water softeners to prevent calcium build-up, feed it to the boilers, and discharge it back into the lake after it re-condenses. Here is the 858 foot LOA x 105 foot beam M/V Roger Blough built by American Ship Building Co. in Lorain, Ohio 1972. Still proudly sailing today. Are you referring to the William A. Irvin Great Lakes freighter that is now a museum ship in Duluth, MN? If so, I may have some info that will help

Ten years ago I originally drew the Wilfred Sykes and just recently I did a major re-fit/update to the drawing.
