Okay, Colo, according to Squadron/Signal's OS2U Kingfisher in action the OS2U-2 Kingfishers assigned to USS North Carolina were overall light grey with white lettering 12" tall, with no mention of rudder stripes.

Nice concept ship, but the use of the name Antietam was already use by an Essex class carrier CV-36 That's right, and with the war being extended to late '46, she would have seen action along with Boxer , Kearsarge , Tarawa , Phillipine Sea and Princeton ... something to think about, anyways...
