Some things still not fixed. What ? Portsmouth Bill Re the Sea Dart against Sea Wolf blast damage. The early Type 22's/Leander's had Exocet mounted very close to the forward Sea Wolf and suffered no effects. The Dart loader could easily be modified to take the missile from a vertical stowage and lo...

As she might have looked after a late 70's refit. Sea Dart and Sea Wolf replacing the older systems.
1022 and 967 radar to replace the 984/965 and 992. Still keeping the 2 pairs of 3" and 6" turrets.

Novice It's the albeit part, that I was referring too. I've tried to keep both Sea Cat and 40mm on target against a FAC and L/L Buccanneer and the 40mm was a whole lot easier to keep on target. All the Sea Cat engagements in 1982 were for aircraft not one on any of the surface targets that happened ...

Hood There are plenty of ships on ship bucket with 984 and 985 on. Most of them being carriers. 984 was never a small ship radar that is why the Counties never got it and it was never that reliable. I envisioned the 96A as a Flagship so the RADAR's would be the same as the CV's or better. As for the...

My idea of how she would look on completion. With an 88' beam she should have no problem fitting 4 Wessex's in the hanger where the "Tigers" struggled. She retains 2 x 3" turrets that are semi enclosed beneath the flight deck. With protective nets over the turret proper the barrels would be beneath ...

The STAAG would be me for me an extra defense once I read about the fact the ships magazines would be emptied in minutes due to the high rate of fire they were capable of. Novice nor were there 20mm in the specifications and there was only 4 MRS 3 in there as well. As she was purely speculation I sp...

Portsmouth Bill How about her now. Admirals bridge now has external and a 40mm STAAG added for extra close in against close ASuW/AAW targets. Rather than its own director it could take target indication from the MRS 3. After all with those "Auto" guns being able to empty her magazines in minutes a p...

Portsmouth Bill, thanks for the pointer. Will have a look at that and let you see the results.

Do you have seen my comment? Also no shade under a single black line. Sould be 3 like the floor with life rafts.. Sorry haven't seen any post other than the 3 pixels under the life raft posts. As for the shading under the single black line around the top of the Bridge. I was just going with the poo...

Updated and I think a good representation of the drawing that was published in "Vanguard to Trident". Anything else is just me speculating.
