Ro-Po, I disagree, my friend. Those ships were scaled from AutoCAD general arrangement drawings. I don't need "hundreds of photographs" to guess the size and location of something when I know with 100% certainty how large something is and how many pixels aft of the bow it is.

Thanks Timothy. This was fun for me. All these designs got floated around, and then the project got cancelled due to cost. There's some CGI renderings, but not for all of them. It was cool to see what they might have looked like.

They would have been civilian crewed for the operations of the ship, but obviously lots of military onboard.

LHA-8 was given the new island design and the sponson forward of the island. Everything else was unchanged.
