I do believe I am about finished with the hull above the waterline. I added two 20mm cannons along the midships and two .50 cal machine guns aft. The mast is how I like it. This looks good, much more realistic IMO. Re. the harpoon hatches, is there a roof and pop-up hatches over the launchers as in...

well typical shipbucket shading of round objects is either with three two shades (darker line in the bottom, ligther in the up) or entirely just single lighter shade line in the 1/3 from the height (or witdh when you draw vertical object) The granit looks actually "acceptable" but the thinner grey ...

Hi Gollevainen, thanks for the comment! By shading, I assume you mean the rounding effect of the cylindrical parts? This is based on the stock versions (particularly the Granit) with added single lines (light on top and dark on bottom) based on an earlier discussion on adding relief to cylinder shap...

Chinese are here:http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6420 Thanks for the tip. The images still don't show up in either thread though. I assume that they work OK on your end? Anyways, since I can't see your versions, I'll post some of what I have, maybe it won't be completely waste...

Here is part 2 of the series on Soviet gunboats, with the WW2-vintage Projekt 1125 BKA. As this one is a bit more obscure that the Shmel, it deserves its own blurb: Together with its bigger half-sister class Projekt 1124, the Pr.1125 was born in the late 30s out of a desire by the Soviet navy (then ...

Excellent work as usual, on a weird-looking if not positively ugly ship!

Re. self-defense torpedoes, you mentioned a planing hull and high max speed. For a light FAC with a mostly AShM-based weapon fit as you have designed, the traditional anti-sub defense is a good turn of speed, good eyes, and full flank ahead to outrun the torpedoes. :) Consider that such a small boat...

Re. the last comment on vernier thrusters and your explanation on thrust simulating gravity, I concur that you will have to look heavily into maneuver engines. No complete flight is going to happen under constant acceleration; you might even want to consider decreasing velocity before arrival, if po...
